Hello, my name is Mads Darø Kristensen. I do research on pervasive computing at Department of Computer Science, Aarhus University. My main research interests are energy efficient mobile computing and cyber foraging. Cyber foraging is a pervasive computing technique, pioneered by Mahadev Satyanarayanan from Carnegie Mellon University, where small mobile devices offload some of their resource intensive work to stronger surrogate computers in their vicinity. Thereby enabling the mobile devices to preserve their own resources while using otherwise unused resources at the surrogates.
I'm currently working on my own project, which is tentatively named Geth. It is in many ways a continuation of the work I have done in my PhD studies, so I am still working with offloading heavy computing work from mobile devices and onto more capable devices.
I have been involved in the Locusts project, within which I did my PhD thesis on the subject of cyber foraging. Furthermore, I have worked in the Galileo and HomePort projects.
